Habitat
Occurring at elevations of 2,100-3,000 m in high mountain ranges where annual precipitation is between 1,000-2,000 mm . It is found growing in association with Picea, Abies, Tsuga, and Larix and at lower elevations with Betula species.
Leaf Description
Leaves are notably longer in this subspecies, from 4 - 7.5 cm in length.
