Ornamental uses and rock gardens.
Cultivation
Full sun and partial-shade. Moist and well-drained soil that has a pH of alkaline. Prefers loamy or clay.
Shape
Erect and upright.
Habitat
Meadows or dry and exposed slopes are ideal for growth.
Leaf Description
Basal leaves that are linear-lanceolate with parallel venation and 25 cm long. Cauline leaves are shorter and barely visible on the stem.
Flower Description
The flowers are compact, pyramidal shape and has a scent that is described as "foxy". The flowers have 6 tepals (3 small sepals and 3 petals).
Colour Description
The leaves are green. The flowers are pinkish-purple but sometimes (rarely) white.
