Flowering Period
General Description
Tall and wide with grey to dark grey coloured bark.
Cultivation
Grows in moist, well-drained soil in full sun. Can tolerate many types of soil such as sandy and poor soils.

ID Characteristic
A 5 needled pine that is grey in colour and grows to be about 15 m in height and bears brown-red cones.
Pests
No serious pest or disease problems however I have noticed that groundhogs in Ontario tend to chew on the bark.

Bark is smooth and grey in its youth stage turning dark grey in later stages.

Brown-red cones 2.5-10 cm in length that continuously grow on the tree for 6-7 years.

2.5-6 cm needles that are in fasicle of 5, which are stiff and twisted, forming blue-green tufts of foliage at the branch's tips.

Oval shaped brown-red in colour 7.5-15 cm in length.
Colour Description
Grey to darker grey bark with age and blue-green needles.
