General Description
A small tree or shrub with dark green, fleshy leaves, unisex flowers, and a small, yellow-orange to red fruit.
Landscape
Ornamental specimen plant.
Cultivation
Grow in full sun in a moist but well-drained soil. In order for berries to appear, male and female plants must be grown in close proximity.

Bark is pale grey or brown in colour.
Leaf Description
Leaves are fleshy and dark green in colour, somewhat paler beneath, growing to 8 x 5 cm.
Flower Description
Flowers are unisex, appearing in small groups of 3-4 (or occasionally solitary) in terminal clusters.
Fruit Description
Fruit is very small, to 10 mm in diameter, yellow-orange to red in colour.
Propagation
Propagate from ripe-wood cuttings in autumn. Plants will hybridize freely.
