General Description
A very isolated and small distribution, this species is considered globally threatened and has been put on the IUCN Red List.
Habitat
Found in woodland, forest and other wooded land in association with other broadleaved deciduous species including Betula, Populus tremula and Sorbus aucuparia. It does not occur on marshy terrain.
Notable Specimens
Coto de Xares in Xares (municipality of Veiga), Spain has one of the largests specimens on record.
