Landscape

Cultivation
Moist, well drained, medium and heavy, acidic, neutral and alkaline soils in full sun to partial shade.

Flower Description
Monoencious.
Propagation
Propagation by seed should be sown as soon as it is ripe in a cold frame. Germination should be done in the spring, once seed is large enough, prick and plant into pots. Plant in permanent positions in autumn/winter or the following season. Propagation by cuttings should be of mature wood and taken as soon as the leaves fall in autumn.

Bark juices are boiled and is applied to burns. Used as a diuretic to reduce swelling in the legs, dying and for fuel.
