General Description
This species has been placed on the IUCN Red List as least concern.
Habitat
Limestone mountains in subtropical forests at an altitude of 800-1,300 m.
Bark/Stem Description
Greyish-brown in colour with purplish-brown branchlets.
Leaf Description
Ovate or ovate-elliptic, with a sub obliquely cordite base and 14-20 lateral veins on either side of the mid vein, 5-10.5x2.5-5 cm.
Flower Description
Female inflorescence, 4.5-8x1-1.5 cm.
Fruit Description
Obovoid, ribbed and light brown in colour, 1.5-5 mm, produced June through August.
