General Description
Occupying a fragmented area of only 366 km in total, this species has been placed on the IUCN Red List as globally threatened.
Habitat
Valleys in mixed forests at an altitude of 1,800-2,000 m.
Bark/Stem Description
Brownish-grey or blackish-grey bark with thin, glabrous branchlets.

Small ellipsoid with numerous scales.
Leaf Description
Broad and ovate, thin, 3 primary veins with a rounded or broadly obtuse base and 3 triangular-ovate lobes, 3-7 x 2-2.5 cm.
Fruit Description
Thin fruiting pendicel with 3-5 fruit, convex winged nutlet, 2.2 x 1 cm, produced in September.
