General Description
This species has been placed on the IUCN Red List as vulnerable.
Habitat
Montane forests at an altitude of 3,000 - 3,350 m.
Leaf Description
It has unique and beautiful foliage. Leaves are dark shiny green with a hue of silver along its edges, which glistens in the sun, 11 x 5 cm. Young growth is a beautiful polished bronze colour.
Flower Description
Flowers are not produced until the plant has matured to 15 years, they are fragrant, ivory or cream in colour and 7.5 cm in diameter.
