General Description
With less than an estimated 50 individuals, this species has been placed on the IUCN Red List as critically endangered.
Habitat
South-east Yunnan in evergreen forests at an altitude of 1,700 - 2,000 m.
Leaf Description
Elliptic to elliptic-oblong, thick with a cuneate base, 13 - 14 x 4 - 5 cm.
Flower Description
Yellowish-green, 3 outer tepals and 2 inner tepals purple in colour.
Fruit Description
Ellipsoid, 2.7 - 3.2 cm, produced October through November.
