Forests, ravines and along trails at an altitude of 200-1,500 m.

Ellipoid, narrow, pubescent and orange-yellow to grey.
Leaf Description
Obovate-oblong, thick and rigid with 8-12 secondary veins on either side of the mid vein and a cuneate base, 8-14 x 4-7 cm.

9-tepaled white flowers with red filaments.
Fruit Description
Obovoid to obovoid-elipsoid, 4-5 cm, produced June through August.
