General Description
Known in one location and threatened by habitat loss, this species has been placed on the IUCN Red List as endangered.
Habitat
Montane forests at an altitude of 1,300-1,400 m.
Bark/Stem Description
Blackish-brown to greyish-brown twigs.
Flower/Leaf Bud Description
Cylindric and glabrous 1.5 cm.
Leaf Description
Elliptic to obovate-elliptic, glabrous with 11-12 secondary veins on either side of the mid vein and a cuneate to obtuse base, 15-17 x 6-7 cm.
Flower Description
Fragrant with 6 tepals, yellow in colour.
Fruit Description
Pendulous, 21 cm, produced September through October.
