General Description
Known in only two locations, this species has been placed on the IUCN Red List as globally threatened.
Habitat
Evergreen forests at an altitude of approximately 1,600 m.
Bark/Stem Description
Glabrescent yellowish-brown branchlets.
Leaf Description
Ovate to obovate-elliptic, thick, bright green with a yellowish-grey underside, 9-14 secondary veins on either side of the midvein and a rounded and oblique base, 6.5-12 x 2-4.5 cm.
Fruit Description
Acorn, 5-7 mm x 1-1.7 cm. Ovoid and broad nut, 0.8-1.5 cm.
