Habitat
Found at altitudes of 2,000-3,550 m.
Bark/Stem Description
Blackish in colour with fissures.
Flower/Leaf Bud Description
Ovoid, 3-4 mm in length.
Leaf Description
Obovate or elliptic-oblong, toothed, with a cordate or rounded base and 4-8 secondary veins on either side of the midvein, 2-6 x 1-3 cm.
Fruit Description
Acorn maturing over two year period.
