Leaf Description
Oboval or elliptic, thick toothed, greyish-green with a dull glaucous pale grey underside, 7-14 secondary veins on either side of the midvein and a rounded or cordate base, 10-20 x 3-9 cm.

Male catkins 6-14 cm in length.
Fruit Description
Acorn, pale brown and paired, 1.5-2.5 cm in length.
