Habitat
Found at altitudes of 50 - 2,200 m.
Bark/Stem Description
Pale grey, thick and fissured bark with grey, pubescent and twisted twigs.
Flower/Leaf Bud Description
Ovoid with twisted scales.
Leaf Description
Dark green and rough, with a pale underside, 5 - 9 pairs of lobes, an obtuse apex and truncate base, 8 - 14 pairs of lateral veins, 6 - 12 x 3 - 5 cm.
Fruit Description
Acorn, cylindrical and pointed, 3 cm in length.
