This species has been placed on the IUCN Red List as least concern.
Bark/Stem Description
Dark grey with orange hued furrows and rough olive-brown twigs.
Flower/Leaf Bud Description
Reddish-brown and scaly.
Leaf Description
Oval-lanceolate to lanceolate, a pointed apex and rounded base, dark green with a pale, pubescent underside and 10-16 secondary veins on either side of the midvein, 4-10 x 2-3 cm.
Fruit Description
Acorn, 2 cm in length.
