General Description
It was named after Baron (Charles) von Hugel.
Landscape
Used in mixed borders or as an informal hedge.
Cultivation
Sandy and gravel soils. Drought tolerant.
Habitat
Sandy coastal plains to mallee scrubland and heath on a variety of soils.
Flower Description
Five petaled, 70 mm in length and overlapping slightly with ridges.
Colour Description
The flowers are cream, mauve but typically lilac in colour. The leaves are a dark green.
Propagation
Semi-hardwood cuttings. 10 cm tip cuttings work best although soft tip cuttings also rot well.
