Full sun and partial-shade. Well-drained soil. Prefers sand and loam.

Sand dunes, sand plains and hillsides.
Bark/Stem Description
The branchlets are appressed-pubescent with little hairs.
Leaf Description
Young leaves are appressed-pubescent with little hairs. Simple leaves are 6.5 - 23 cm long and 1.6 - 2 cm wide.
Flower Description
Inflorescences are erect, contains 10 - 16 flowers with simple rachis that are 7 - 11 mm long. The inflorescences are glabrous or appressed-pubescent with pedicels that are 6 mm long.
Fruit Description
Obliquely in shape, 2.2 - 4 cm long and 1.6 - 2.5 mm wide. The fruit has a toothed crest found on either side.
Colour Description
The flowers are a reddish-pinkish-purple. The leaves are green. The fruit is black in colour.
