Cultivation
Best grown in gritty, well drained soil. Prefers sun to bright shade. It is drought tolerant, preferring relatively dry soil.
Habitat
Found on rocky shores and sloping hillsides. In the wild, it gets watered rarely (possibly twice a year) getting most of its moisture from the air.
