Description and Growing Information

General DescriptionGeranium sylvaticum 'Mayflower' is a compact herbaceous perennial with basal, deeply lobed leaves and rich, violet-blue flowers with white centres.
CultivationGrow in full sun to part shade, in moist, well-drained soil. Old leaves and stems should be removed to encourage flowering and new growth.
PestsPossible problems include: capsid bug, sawflies, vine weevil, powdery mildew and downy mildew.
Leaf DescriptionDeep, serrated lobes; 10 - 20 cm wide.
Flower DescriptionSaucer-shaped, rich violet-blue with small white centre, 2.5 - 3 cm in diameter.
