Bark/Stem Description | Cladodes suborbicular or orbicular in shape, measuring between 0.1 - 0.3 m in diameter grow upward, connecting together. Areoles insignificant, 2 - 3 mm in diameter and carry between 2 - 6 spines, measuring from 3 - 6 cm in length each. |
Flower Description | Highly showy open cup-shaped blooms, measuring between 5 - 8 cm in diameter appear on the edges of mature cladodes. |
Colour Description | Medium green to sage green succulent bodies with dark brownish black spines and areoles. Golden yellow, vivid orange or bright red blooms. |
