General DescriptionA compact shrub with silver edged varigation along the typical dark green foilage and small white flowers in spring.
ID CharacteristicDark green leaves with silver edge varigation and small white urn shaped flowers.
LandscapeA medium sized shrub used for specimen accents and to add a colour interest.
PropagationBest propagated by soft-wood cuttings in early summer or semi-hard-wood cuttings in the late summer. The cutting may require bottom heat as they are slow to root.
CultivationGenerally grows well in acidic well drained soils. The media must be quite rich in organic material and is best suited to a light loam or sand.
PestsLacebugs are known to distort the foilage mildy as well as Leaf-spot. Also be wary of Phytophthora root diseases.
