HabitatDry rocky slopes at an altitude of 1,200-2,100 m.
Bark/Stem DescriptionRough, thin with fissures and scales, dark grey in colour.
Flower/Leaf Bud DescriptionOvoid, reddish brown, 1 mm in length.
Leaf DescriptionElliptic or oval, glossy with a dull underside, a pointed apex and attenuate base with 4-7 secondary veins on either side of the midvein, 1.2-4 x 0.6-1.6 cm.
Fruit DescriptionAcorn, oblong, 1.2-1.5 cm in length.
