Description and Growing Information

ShapeVertical and upright. The trunk can branch in two during growth. Densely foliated.
LandscapeUsed as a specimen plant.
PropagationTo propagate place the cane cutting in water. Takes one month for the cane to root. Move into a pot with rich soil. Lay 10 cm pieces of can horizontally and place, partially buried in a flat of perlite in a mist system with bottom heat. New shoots will emerge in about six weeks followed by roots.
CultivationFull sun to partial shade, rich and well drained soil.
PestsBacterial leaf spot, stem rot and tip death.

Leaf DescriptionLong, pointed and linear leaf form. Leaves are 60 - 65 cm in length and 5.5 - 7 m in width.

Fruit DescriptionSmall fruit the occurs in clusters. Present during the spring and summer months and has a sweet scent. The fruit is 4 mm in diameter and has a slit down the center.
Colour DescriptionThe bark is greyish-brown in colour. The buds are a glossy greenish-yellow. The foliage is greenish-yellow. The flowers are yellowish-white. The fruit are white and dulls as it ripens.
