Dictamnus albus is rather slow growing, the older it is the bigger the clump will be. It is a long lived plant, it is said, it will out live the gardener who planted it. It is easy to grow, in any soil in sun or light shade. |

Flower Description |
The star-shaped, large white flowers are borne in long racemes. They stay open for about 5 weeks. The flowering plants create a strong vertical accent especially when they are more established. |
Propagation |
Seed; direct sow outdoors in autumn but stratify or winter sow in vented containers, coldframe or unheated greenhouse. Division is not recommended as the gas plant does not like to be transplanted. |
