Cercis yunnanensis

Yunnan Redbud

Origin:  The word Cercis is a derivative of the Greek word, kerkis, a weaver's shuttle, which Theophrastus likened the tree's flattened woody fruits to.

Yunnan Redbud is commonly found landscape plant. Known for its stunning pink blooms in early spring and its yellow autumn colour. Has extremely fast growth in its youth but has a very short life span. No major pests if taken care of properly. Also extremely adaptable landscape plant tolerant of full sun- partial shade and enjoys well drained soil. Overall best used as an accent plant in a landscape.
