A tree with few good qualities, in fact I am not sure what any of its good qualities are when you look towards other fastigiate or upright forms. It seems to me that this is one plant we can do without; a needless cultivar for the sake of having a cultivar of a plant.

A. platanoides 'Columnare' is a very adaptable species and is well suited to intense urban conditions. Not the narrowest of upright shaped trees, about 3-5 m across. |
