Origin:  2002 Perennial Plant of the Year ™, Selected from a native population of Phlox paniculata and named after the husband of F. M. Mooberry who led volunteer efforts conserving native populations of the plant at the Brandyvine Conservancy, Philadelphia in the 1980's.

Propagation
By dividing clumps in early spring, by softwood cuttings in mid-summer or by root cuttings after flowering has finished. Root cuttings should be collected in the autumn, cut into 5 cm lengths and placed horizontally in flats with barley covering the tops. Water and place in a cold frame until growth appears and then pot individually.
