Mature trees that are symmetrically rounded are very attractive, especially when in bloom in spring and early summer.
Cultivation
Grows easily in average soil, medium to wet, well-drained, full sun to part shade. Prefers fertile loams. Tolerates many soil conditions including dry and seasonal flooding.
Pests
No serious pests or diseases to note. Susceptibilities include verticillium wilt, twig blight, leaf spots, and mildew. Catalpa sphinx moth caterpillars may do significant damage while feeding on the foliage.

Rosy-pink in colour with purple-brown spots.
