A more diminutive form than the species and certainly less aggressive, not forming the extensive mats of roots and thus we hope less invasive.

Mass planting, acting as a ground-cover shrub, possibly like the species in places where erosion control is required.

Tolerant of a wide variety of site conditions, except extremely wet feet. Requires watering and after care to establish but then should be easy to maintain.
