General Description
This magnificent tree flourishes in well drained soil and needs lots of space to grow. It has a yellow greenish flower which takes up to 5 years of growth to flower. It has grayish brown bark and a variegated yellow and greenish leaf.
Landscape
Not a tree for a small property. Requires a lot of space. A magnificent tree, great for shade.

ID Characteristic
Oval or pyramidal at a young age and become irregular as it matures. It has yellow greenish flowers , greyish brown bark, 20 - 25 m high and 10 - 15 m wide (It has variegated leaves, green inside with a yellow border).
Pests
Aphids, scale deposits which support the growth of sooty mold. Resistent to gypsy moth.
Habitat
Horticultural origin.

Greyish brown, rounded to flatten ridges which are separated by crevices.

Greenish to reddish brown covered with a bloom, white spotted.
Leaf Description
Variegated green inside yellow-whitish border. 8-12 cm long and wide with long petioles 5-7cm. The leaves are also a tulip shape.
Flower Description
Yellowish greenish flower 4-6 cm high, 2 - 4 cm wide. Resembles a tulip flower. Flowers may be to early June, may be slow to flower from seed.
Fruit Description
Elongated 2-5 cm in length brown in colour, hard, woody type surface capsule.

Bark, greyish brown, leafs have green inside with yellow border and yellow greenish flowers.
