Leaf Description
Very broad and oblong, up to 20 cm in length.
Flower Description
Single flowers 1-1.5 cm across are grouped tightly together creating a round, ball like shape roughly 6 cm in diameter. Silvery purple-pink to purple or off-white in colour.
Ethnobotanical Uses (Disclaimer)
The bulb is used raw or cooked as a substitute for an onion and its raw flowers are used for garnish on salads.
