General Description
Damage to trunks and stems from grazing of wildlife, uncontrolled logging and wood extraction have caused this small shrub to become globally threatened and placed on the IUCN Red List.
Cultivation
Rare in cultivation. Prefers fertile well drained soil in full sun to parietal shade.
Habitat
Mountainous areas, forests at an altitude of 1,200-2,000 m.
