With only 21 mature individuals known, this species has been listed as critically endangered and put on the IUCN Red List.
Habitat
The forests of Tiantai Mountain in the North West Province of Zhejiang.
Bark/Stem Description
Smooth, grey in colour.
Leaf Description
Ovate or elliptic, 5-10 x 3-5.5 cm, with 12-15 lateral veins per side.
Fruit Description
Produced July through August.
