Habitat
Mountain valleys and river banks at an altitude of 200-1,000 m.
Bark/Stem Description
Smooth, grey or brownish grey in colour. Dark greyish-brown, glabrous branches and branchlets.

2 glabrous, ribbed scales.
Leaf Description
Obovate-oblong, oblanceolate-oblong or oblong, 6-13 lateral veins on each side, 6-16 x 2.5-7 cm.
Flower Description
Female inflorescences grouped 2-4 in a raceme, oblong and penduncle.
Fruit Description
Broadly ovate nutlet with delicate wings, 1/4 the width of the nutlet, produced July through August.
