General Description
This large, irregular tree has been placed on the IUCN Red List as least concern.
Shape
Narrow crown.
Habitat
Moist, rocky slopes and open forests at an altitude of 800-2,000 m.
Bark/Stem Description
Mature bark is white to reddish-tan and peels off in thin layers, its younger bark is a shinny reddish-brown colour.
Leaf Description
Leaves are ovate and alternate with 9-12 lateral veins on either side, 6-12 cm in length.
