General Description
This species has been placed on the IUCN Red List as least concern.
Habitat
Moist mountain slopes and subtropical forests at an altitude of 300-1,800 m.
Bark/Stem Description
Dark grey or greyish-white with drooping, pubescent blackish-brown branchlets.
Leaf Description
Elliptic-lanceolate, oblong-lanceolate, lanceolate or oblong, with a rounded-cuneate, surrounded or cuneate base and 11-13 lateral veins on either side, 6-12x1.7-3.5 cm.
Flower Description
Female inflorescence, 8-10 mm.
Fruit Description
Brown resinous glands with a pale yellow resin, ribbed, ovate and groat nutlet 3-4x2.5-3.5 mm, produced July through September.
