General Description
This species has been placed on the IUCN Red List as globally threatened.
Habitat
Forest valleys at an altitude of 1,100-1,700 m in northern Vietnam and southern Yunnan.
Bark/Stem Description
Blackish-grey or grey with thin brown branchlets.
Leaf Description
Think, rough, a rounded or broadly cuneate base with 3 triangular-ovate lobes.
Fruit Description
Purplish yellow fruit, produced in September. Oblong nutlets, 3.5-3.2 x 1.7 cm, with spreading pubescent or glabrescent wings.
