General Description |
This species has not been seen since 1938, however the species has not been specifically looked for recently. It has been placed on the IUCN Red List as globally threatened and may possibly be extinct. |

Mixed forests in West Yunnan at an altitude of 1,500 m. |

Rough grey bark with glabrous branchlets, purplish brown in colour when young maturing to a dark brown. |

Leaf Description |
Dark green in colour, oblong, ovate or suborbicular, thin with a rounded base and 8-10 lateral veins on either side of the mid vein, 6-8 x 2-3 cm. |

Infructescence corymbose, grey and 3.5-4 cm. |

Purple-brown fruit produced in September with ovoid and convex winged nutlets, 7 mm in diameter, yellowish or grey. |
