Habitat
Limestone in shrublands and woodlands at an altitude of 2,200-2,500 m.
Bark/Stem Description
Light grey, furrowed or checkered with noticeably red twigs.
Flower/Leaf Bud Description
Round, light brown, 1-1.5 mm.
Leaf Description
Obovate, thick with a cuneate to rounded base, irregular lobes, teethed and 9-12 secondary veins on either side of the midvein, 3-5 x 1-3 cm.
Fruit Description
Singular or paired acorns with light brown scales.
