Habitat
Rocky dry slopes at an altitude of less than 1,500 m.
Bark/Stem Description
Scaly, grey bark with smooth light brown twigs.
Flower/Leaf Bud Description
Globose, hairless, reddish-brown, 0.5-1 mm.
Leaf Description
Thick, elliptical to orbicular with a cordate base, toothed, glabrous and greyish green, similar to that of a holly leaf.
Fruit Description
Oval, brown acorn, 1.2 cm in length, singular or paired.
