Habitat
Evergreen forests at an altitude of 0-1,1000 m.
Bark/Stem Description
Reddish-brown bark with thin twigs covered in white hairs.
Leaf Description
Elliptic-lanceolate, green with stellate hairs on its underside, 8-14 thin secondary veins on either side of the midvein and a acute or cuneate base.
Flower Description
Male catkins, 5 cm in length and female inflorecense with flowers 2 mm in diameter.
Fruit Description
Ovoid or subglose acorn, 1.7-2 x 1.3-1.8 cm.
