Habitat
Tropical forests at an altitude of 1,300-2,300 m.

Grey, scaly when young becoming more fissured.
Flower/Leaf Bud Description
Ovoid, 3 mm in length.
Leaf Description
Dark green and glabrous, 15-22 secondary veins on either side of the midvein and a cuneate base.
Fruit Description
Ovoid acorn, singular to groups of 3, 1-1.5 cm.
