Cultivation
Full sun and partial-shade. Drought tolerant.
Shape
Dense and round.
Habitat
Found growing on sandy soils or soils high in limestone content.
Leaf Description
Small, egg-shaped with the narrower end towards the base. 4 - 11 mm long and are arranged in alternating pairs (forming 4 rows along the stems).
Flower Description
The flowers are arranged in heads 35 - 45 mm in diameter, on ends of the branches which continue to grow after flowering. Flowering occurs during June to December. Appear as bottlebrush-like spikes.
Fruit Description
The fruit are woody capsules, 7 - 9 mm long. Stamens which are in bundles of 5 - 7, 28 - 40 mm long and are joined for about half their length.
Colour Description
The leaves are green. The flowers are creamy orange and red.
