Origin:  South Africa in the southern to eastern Cape Province near Mosselbaai to East London. It is quite common between East London and Port Elizabeth. Introduced into cultivation in 1774 by Masson of the Cape of Good Hope.

Leaf Description
Obovate leaves that have a tapering tip and wide base that clasps the steam. Young leaves wither away to expose the 1 - 2 cm wide intricately-bracnhed bar stems.
Flower Description
Large, pyramid-shaped clusters with sprays of small star-shaped flowers.
Colour Description
The leaves are green with white dots on the upper and lower leaf surfaces surrounding the leaf margin. The flowers are white.
