General Description
Broadleaf evergreen grown for its foliage.
Landscape
Popularly grown as an indoor houseplant because it is durable and easy to grow.
Cultivation
Best grown in organically rich, consistently moist, well-drained soils in full to part shade. Protect from direct sunlight and winds. Keep soil uniformly moist during the growing season and reduce watering in autumn and winter. Allow soil to dry slightly between waterings but do not allow soil to dry out completely.
