Description and Growing Information
Flowering Period
General Description
A species in the North American Cypress family with light green, scale-like foliage.
Landscape
Grows in rocky climates.
Cultivation
Best grown in rock gardens and requires lots of sun.

Pests
Acacia dealbata and Genista monspessulana impact the growth of the Santa Cruz Cypress by blocking sunlight and taking away soil space for germination. Natural fires are also a major threat to the Cypress.

Thin, fibrous bark with vertical stripes.
Leaf Description
Dense branching with light green leaves (15mm in length) and leaves are present all year round.
Fruit Description
Pollen cones (4mm long). Female seed cones produce annually and are 20-30mm in diameter and remain on the tree until the supporting branches die off.

Foliage is light green.
