Flowering Period
General Description
Clump-forming perennial plant typically growing to 60 - 90 cm tall. Spreads slowly through thick rhizomes, forming large wild colonies.
Landscape
Used in massed naturalized plantings, wild gardens, native plant gardens, and woodland gardens.
Cultivation
Grows in evenly moist, well-drained soils. Grow in partial to full shade. Prefers rich, loose, moist, humusy soils. Hot, humid summer climates may cause poor growth. Do not disturb the roots, especially before establishment.
