"
Juniperus chinensis 'Fairview" is very versatile and makes a great accent plant in home landscapes. Its a low maintenance shrub that fills out right to the ground, which makes it suitable for planting under power lines. Due to it's overall appearance, it would not be considered in most landscapes.

| Fairview Juniper is a multi-stemmed evergreen shrub with a columnar growth habit. It is a narrow upright evergreen that adds delicate texture to the landscape which can make it a great accent feature. |

| This juniper shrub has light green foliage; the scale-like leaves do not develop any appreciable fall colour. From mid summer to late winter, it produces silvery blue berries. Fairview Juniper will grow about 15 m tall at maturity. It will fill out right to the ground. |

| Although this juniper is usually a disease free shrub, scale can be an issue. Root rot can be caused by poorly draining water. It has fairly good resistance to cedar apple rust. |

| Propagation |
| Junipers are easily propagated using several different methods. They are one of the easiest conifers to air-layer and have rooted. Cuttings can be taken from April to September. Once potted, cuttings can exist for up to 2 years on their own; however the foliage and shoots from the cuttings will be indicative of the cutting having new roots. |
